Lost Lincoln Park Book Release
We are excited to finally share the news that the Lost Lincoln Park book, in the works for several years, will be available here for its initial sales event and book-signing by the author Craig Hutchison. Using resources of the museum archives and collections, Lost Lincoln Park gives us an overview of many community landmarks and land uses that have changed or been lost over time, but still are vital to understanding our story; this is especially timely as we celebrate our centennial year here in 2025. Join us Saturday, November 8th from 2pm to 5pm at the historical museum for the new book's kick-off event. Books will be available for purchase at the cost of $25.
The book may be ordered by phone at the museum office, 313-386-3137. To purchase the book online, please make a $31 donation here. This amount covers the cost of the book plus shipping/handling, and purchasers will be contacted via email to confirm their shipping address.
Two benefits to making the purchase with the museum; NO sales tax and your purchase will benefit the museum. (Note that commercial internet sales will not do that.) The cost of the book is $25, plus $6 for shipping and handling.Sales at the museum will continue through the holidays and beyond; our hours are Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1pm to 6pm.
